Frontal proportion and symmetry assessment · zone-by-zone risk · reading a balancing claim
Dr. Ke He is Deputy Director of the Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics Medical Center at Chongqing West District Hospital and head of its skin and laser aesthetic service — and she is the lead physician of this site. A core specialist formerly at the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Xinqiao Hospital, affiliated with Army Medical University, she has worked on the clinical front line in skin laser and injectable aesthetics for more than 20 years, serving over ten thousand patients.
On this review her part is the difference between a measurement and a judgement. She uses the frontal proportions to describe a face and to record a change, and she treats them as a description rather than a target, because a face that departs from a convention is not thereby a face that needs treating. She assesses at rest and in movement, counts the zones a plan would treat and states that number as a risk fact, and where one finding matters more than the others she describes treating that one and leaving the rest alone as the better-supported plan.

A proportion is a description, not a target
The frontal proportions are a way of describing a face and recording what changed. They cannot decide what a face should look like, and no validated instrument measures whether one reads as balanced. A plan can legitimately be described in those terms; it cannot legitimately present them as a target that was met.
